Introduction

The Post Experience Qualifying Programme – PEQP is an alternative path leading towards completion of the International Professional Managers Association qualifying examinations.

The International Professional Managers Association Professional Membership and Practicing License as Certified International Professional Manager (CIPM) is only open to those who have:

  1. Completed  and passed all our qualifying examinations up to Professional Part 2
  2. Completed and successfully defended our licensing qualifying research project.
  3. Completed and successfully defended our mandatory 18 months licensing qualifying internship programme.

The PEQP is thus open to working managers and executives who have either a Masters Degree or equivalent professional qualifications, or Advanced Diplomas in addition to significant Executive working experience, `to attain the Professional Part 2 qualification.

Course Structure

To achieve this Certification status and the practising licence, managers are required to demonstrate their ability to resolve problems in the following subjects.

Students are required to complete a total of six (6) subjects for Post Experience Qualifying Programme (PEQP)

Strategic Issues of Globalisation
Strategic Negotiation and Crisis Management
Strategic Role of Consultants in Managing Change
Strategic Planning and Project Management
Strategic Issues of Operations Management
Strategic Business Transformational Models and Vision

The course structure enables the student to develop all round skills and knowledge in the field of Professional Business Management. This structure adopts a multi disciplinary approach where students are expected to acquire an understanding of core business functions that applies to many business and public sector organisations.

Cases related to the set disciplines are distributed to candidates at least 4 weeks before the set dates of the examination.

Students are expected to undertake analyses of these cases on their own or with other candidates. On the set examination date, students are expected to provide their answers to the case study questions presented on that day. This will be a 3 hour open book examination.

Competency will be assessed on the basis of their ability to solve problems, and to provide logical and coherent solutions to the identified problems.

Passing the rigorous examinations of the International Professional Managers Association Post Experience Qualifying Programme and satisfying work experience and membership requirements, will enable you to become a Certified International Professional Manager, and to use the designatory letters CIPM.
