NATURE OF CONFLICT AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES

ABSTRACT

Conflict in a working environment is natural and unavoidable. Conflicts are neither good nor bad but its management makes it either constructive or disruptive. Conflict free schools were considered as safe havens in the past but the new approach towards conflict is that “conflict has the potential for either a great deal of destruction or much creativity and positive social change (Kreisberg, 1998). Minimizing its destructive potential and maximizing its constructive outcomes should remain the top priority of all educational administrators.
