Professor Robert P Greenwood
Professor Greenwood was born and educated in Hong Kong.
He completed Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees from Hull, Manchester and Salford Universities.
He has worked in industry as an Accountant and in Higher Education for the last 24 years where he was previously Deputy Head of Business.
Professor Greenwood is:
- Former Vice Chairman of Council – Institute of Financial Accountants, UK.
- Fellow of the Association of International Accountants (FAIA), UK
- Fellow Professional National Accountant (FPNA), Australia
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), South Africa
- Fellow Member Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), UK
He has extensive international consultancy experience in Higher Education, having successfully established Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Vietnam; and contributed to World Bank Projects in Turkey and DFID Projects in the Czech Republic.
He is the author of several accounting textbooks published by Gower and the AIA and numerous research papers published by IFAC, Journal of Enterprising Culture and the Czech Management Centre.
Professor Greenwood also holds two Professorships by Chinese Universities in recognition of his development of accounting education and joint research within these Universities.
He is currently on the IMJ Editorial Advisory Board for The International Journal of Applied Financial and Managerial Control.
In addition to being a Subject specialist Reviewer for the UK Quality Assurance Agency, he has held External Examining posts at Southampton Solent University, Manchester Metropolitan University and the Open Learning Institute in Hong Kong. He is currently an External Examiner for Leeds Metropolitan University.
He is currently the Principal of Guildhall College in London and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire.
Professor Greenwood is a fluent speaker of the Chinese dialect of Cantonese.
