Dr Mansoor Hamood Al-Harthy
Dr Mansoor Al-Harthy is the Assistant Dean College of Engineering in Sultan Qaboos University. Recently, he was award a Distinguished Speaker award from Society of Petroleum Engineer in the workshop of E&P Human Capital Management: A Certain Business in Uncertain Times.
He is a faculty in Petroleum and chemical department specializing in Petroleum Management and Economics. Dr Mansoor has conducted consulting works to various companies in motivation, retention and performance management. His expertise also covers risk analysis and decision making under uncertainties with consulting work done for major oil companies. He has published peer review papers and presented papers in conferences.
He holds a PhD in Risk analysis in Petroleum application from Australian School of Petroleum at the University of Adelaide, Australia. He also holds two masters degrees one, from Heriot - Watt University in Project Management and the other from Colorado School of Mines in Mineral Economics, Colorado, USA.
Since 1999, Mansoor has been working for Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. In 1996-1997 he worked in PDO in Drilling department. Furthermore he holds two BSc’s, one in Mining Engineering and another in Math/Geophysics both from Colorado School of Mines Colorado, USA.
