Planning your MCPD

Planning for your MCPD activities must take into account how these activities can provide the knowledge, skills and interpersonal skills in helping you achieve your personal and work objectives. By setting your personal goals and objectives, you will be in a better position to plan your MCPD activities to reflect these goals.

Discussions with your superior or manager, and with training providers will provide you with more information to determine the appropriateness of the courses and events on offer.

Application and transfer of knowledge to the work setting is more important than simply attending courses to acquire knowledge. Training must be therefore be relevant.
